Elana Wolowitz serves as Communications Director for Wellstone Action. She has extensive experience in issue organizing and mobilization, online advocacy, and new media. At Wellstone Action, Elana manages member communication and media relations, new media outreach, and edits and contributes to the blog at wellstone.org. Since joining Wellstone Action in 2004, Elana has coordinated grassroots mobilization for two national issue campaigns, managed non-partisan voter engagement efforts, and serves as a senior trainer.
In her spare time, Elana has worked as Field Director and Campaign Manager on several local electoral campaigns and helps out at the family business, a socially responsible bagel shop in Minneapolis called Common Roots Cafe.
