Deputy Executive Director
Fawn Bernhardt-Norvell has worked with non-profits and campaigns for over 14 years. She is the Deputy Executive Director and a founder of Wellstone Action. Fawn began her career as the assistant finance director of the Wellstone Alliance in 1994. She continued on doing development work for several area non-profits before landing at The Center for Victims of Torture in 1996. There she was Manager of Institutional and Individual Philanthropy, specializing in direct mail, events, and foundation fundraising. In 2001 she joined Paul Wellstone's 2002 U.S. Senate campaign as the Deputy Finance Director.
Fawn volunteers and mentors campaign finance teams for many local, state, and national campaigns. In 2007 she was named a "Forty Under 40" Twin Cities leader by the Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal. She also proudly serves on the Board of Project SUCCESS a non-profit that helps middle and high school students in the Twin Cities realize their dreams after graduation by introducing them to the arts. Fawn earned her B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College in 1994, where she was student body president for two terms. Her electoral victory was credited to the winning campaign slogan, "Mow the Lawn, Vote for Fawn."
