Theresa Sheldon is a citizen of the Tulalip Tribes. From 1998-2005, Ms. Sheldon worked for the Tulalip Tribal Gaming Operations. In 2003 she received her Associates Arts Degree from Everett Community College. In 2003-2005 she attended Western Washington University and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Law and Diversity. For the past four years, she has worked for her Tribe as a Legislative Policy Analyst interpreting high level legislation language in order to identify risks to matters pertaining to Tribal jurisdiction and sovereignty. In 2007, she was selected as an American Indian for Opportunity (AIO) Ambassador for the class of 2007-2009. In 2009, Ms. Sheldon received the Civic Engagement Award on behalf of Native Vote Washington. She is currently the Co-Chair for both Native Vote Washington and Affiliated Tribes of Northwest Indians (ATNI) Native Vote Committee.
She is an active member of the canoe family, First Nations Snowboard team and enjoys spending time with her family and relatives at cultural events.
