Wellstone Action Fund is equally excited to get to know the 2008 class of Fellows (click here for their bios and sponsoring organizations). For four weeks in January, the Fellows will participate in hands-on training in the skills of grassroots organizing - focusing on issue advocacy, electoral mobilization, and voter engagement. They will hear from a wide array of community leaders and have an opportunity to develop plans for the campaigns they will lead at their sponsoring organizations.
The Wellstone Fellows Program identifies emerging leaders in communities of color and invests in them with paid training, placement on an organizing campaign, and ongoing support and mentorship.
