Find your Volunteers
Your first step is identifying who/where you will target for volunteer recruitment. You don't have the time or the resources to try and recruit everyone who cares about your issue or candidate, and you have to know where to start. This targeting will vary greatly depending on the type of campaign, your geographical location, your access to lists of people, etc. However, below is a template to complete to help you identify potential sources of volunteers.
Print this page and in the space below, jot some ideas for potential sources of volunteers in your area. Think in terms of community leaders that can give you access to bigger networks and help create "pipelines" of new volunteers for your efforts. What other constituencies/sources can you think of?
